Purpose

Ohio RSOL is a grassroots organization founded for the charitable purposes of mitigating the distress, discrimination and prejudice experienced by those impacted by the registry and to defend their human and civil rights. Our objectives are the reintegration of registry impacted individuals civilly, legally and socially, to transform the public’s perception of people impacted by the registry and to empower registrants to overcome the difficulties of life on the registry, enabling them to lead productive lives. Ohio RSOL will achieve these objectives through community education, advocacy and, when necessary, litigation.

Our Vision

Ohio RSOL envisions an environment free from arbitrary laws such as public sexual offense registries, residency and proximity restrictions, and lifetime labeling that is not evidenced or proven to be effective in predicting, reducing and preventing sexually oriented offenses.

Our Mission

Ohio RSOL is committed to promoting and supporting cost-effective, evidence-based policies, practices and laws which balance the need for public safety with the goal of rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals convicted of a sexually oriented offense.
